Join Staffan Widstrand to Varanger, a trou paradise for the bird photographer. Photograph King Eider, Steller’s Eider, Gyrfalcon and a great variety of sea-birds on the cliffs. For the Eider ducks you will use the famous floating hides in order to get the best images. Additionally you will visit the bird island of Hornøya, one of Europe’s finest and most accessible sea-bird cliff colonies.

During this short but intense photo trip, you will photograph the impressive courtship of the Great snipe from photo hides. The birds might come as close as 1 meter to the hides, giving you plenty of possibilities to get some stunning images.

Photograph and experience the natural hunting behavior of the Eurasian sparrowhawk. In autumn the hawks use this place to train their hunting skills. It is a true natural spectacle to witness and an extreme amount of fun the photograph.
